my country is a major automobile production and sales country in the world, and its total automobile production and sales have ranked first in the world for 14 consecutive years. Data show that as of 2022, my country's automobile production and sales have completed 27.021 million units and 26.864 million units respectively, a year-on-year increase of 3.4% and 2.1% respectively.
Since 2020, my country's automobile companies' exports have overcome the impact of the epidemic and shown rapid growth momentum. In 2021, Chinese automobile companies exported 2.015 million vehicles, doubling year-on-year; in 2022, Chinese automobile companies' exports exceeded 3 million vehicles for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 54.4%.
In the future, my country's automobile industry is expected to continue to develop rapidly and lead the global automobile industry under the multiple influences of favorable policies, economic development, technological upgrading, and global procurement strategies.
Automobile lightweighting is imperative
Transportation is one of my country's four key carbon-emitting industries, and its emissions account for approximately 10% of my country's total emissions. The continuous increase in automobile production and sales will inevitably lead to an increase in the country's fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
The lightweighting of automobiles means reducing the overall quality of the automobile as much as possible while ensuring the strength and safety performance of the automobile, thereby improving the power of the automobile, reducing fuel consumption, and reducing exhaust pollution. Experiments have proven that if the mass of the car is reduced by half, the fuel consumption will also be reduced by nearly half.
"Technical Roadmap for Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicles 2.0" mentioned that the fuel consumption target of passenger cars will reach 4.6L/100km in 2025, and the fuel consumption target of passenger cars will reach 3.2L/100km in 2030. In order to achieve the established fuel consumption target, in addition to the improvement of internal combustion engine technology and the adoption of hybrid technology, lightweight technology is also one of the very important technical optimization directions.
Today, as national fuel consumption and emission standards continue to improve, it is imperative to reduce vehicle weight.
Adhesives help make cars lighter
Adhesives are indispensable raw materials in automobile production. In automobile manufacturing, the use of adhesives can improve driving comfort, reduce noise, and reduce vibration. It also plays an important role in realizing automobile lightweighting, energy saving, and consumption reduction.
Required properties of automotive adhesives
Depending on the distribution of users, cars are often exposed to severe cold, extreme heat, humidity or acid-base corrosion. As a part of the automobile structure, in addition to considering the bonding strength, the selection of adhesives must also have good cold resistance, heat resistance, moisture resistance, salt spray corrosion resistance, etc.
Pustar has been committed to promoting lightweight automobiles through the research and development of high-quality adhesives. Pustar's automotive adhesive series products, such as Renz10A, Renz11, Renz20, and Renz13, have suitable product properties based on different application points, and are widely used in the bonding and sealing of joints such as automotive glass and body sheet metal.
At the Canton Fair in the autumn of 2023 (the 134th session), Pusada will bring a full range of automotive adhesive products to be exhibited simultaneously in Area D 17.2 H37, 17.2I 12 & Area B 9.2 E43. The excitement of the exhibition will last until October 19, 2023 , waiting for your visit.
